Propecia Lawsuits

Men who used the hair loss drug Propecia and developed sexual side effects may be eligible to file a lawsuit against the drug’s manufacturers. Some experts have claimed that the manufacturers of Propecia failed to properly warn patients about the risk of sexual side effects associated with the drug, which may continue for years after stopping treatment.

The most commonly reported sexual side effects of Propecia include impotence, low libido, erectile dysfunction, lower sex drive and problems with orgasm. Men also reported a decrease in the number of sexual episode per month, as well as in their overall sexual enjoyment. According to one study, these side effects continued among some patients for an average of 40 months after they stopped taking Propecia.

Health officials in Sweden and the UK have issued warnings about the long-term sexual side effects that can occur after taking Propecia. However, in spite of these warnings and studies about the side effects of the drug, the Food and Drug Administration has not announced plans to issue a Propecia recall.

Patients who took Propecia and have experienced long-term sexual side effects—including impotence, low libido or other problems—may wish to talk with a Propecia lawyer about their legal options. Several Propecia lawsuits have already been filed in the US by men who developed sexual difficulties after taking the drug. Propecia class action lawsuits have also been filed in the US and Canada.

If you or a loved one experienced sexual side effects after taking Propecia, you may qualify to file a lawsuit and receive a settlement for your injuries.
